“Breakfast With A Mineralogist” – Spend an hour with a Mineralogists from the Mineralogical Society of America and Learn about the Minerals you Love! Free Event with Giveaways and a Bite of Breakfast!

The Mineralogical Society of America (one of the leading professional mineralogical organizations in the world) is holding its inaugural annual meeting in Tucson the week after the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society show. Professional mineralogists who will be attending the MSA meeting have organized the Breakfast with a Mineralogist event. The purpose is to meet with interested members of the collecting community to discuss topics of mutual interest, possibly including 1) Symmetry and crystallography, 2) Garnets 3) Aluminosilicate minerals 4) Varieties of quartz 5) Biomineralogy/apatite, and 6) Color in minerals. All are welcome.
