The forty-third Tucson Mineral Symposium, was held in conjunction with the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show®, will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025. This symposium is co-sponsored by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, the Friends of Mineralogy, and the Mineralogical Society of America. As a tie in with the show, the symposium theme is the same as the show theme: “Shades of Green: From apatites to zeunerites – more than just emeralds.” Physically attending the symposium is FREE and does not need registration.
Register to Join the Symposium Remotely via Zoom
There will be access to attend the symposium remotely through Zoom via a non-speaker computer. Remote attendance to the symposium is free. Remote viewers will need to register using the following form; registration will close on February 7th, 2024. Log-in information for viewing the symposium will be emailed to registrants by FM-PA President Bill Stephens, PG, by February 8th, 2025.
Full Attendance at this seminar, whether in person or remote, is worth 6 Continuing Education credits (CEUs) for licensed Professional Geologists (PGs). Provide your PG # and primary state of registration to receive a certificate of completion electronically a few days after the event. Most States that require continuing education for PGs list FM (chapters as well) as pre-approved continuing education providers.
